Conflict Resolution Training for Law Enforcement Personnel

 Brief Course Description:  Conflict Resolution Training for Law Enforcement Personnel” is designed to allow the officer to take a good look at him/her self through the eyes of others. This is done through the use of humor, self-test evaluations, role-playing, and interaction within the classroom. We will learn deescalating techniques dealing in conflict resolutions over a broad range of topics such as interacting with juveniles, men, women, community leaders, our families, breaking cultural barriers, and many other essential topics. We will also learn to develop good listening skills along with exploring easy techniques used to monitor perceptions.

 

Brief Outline for Conflict Resolution Training For Law Enforcement Personnel

I.       Analzyze the various definitions and aspects of conflict and determine the best way to address and view these conflicts on a daily basis.

    II.      Ways to increase the officers Personal Interaction Power

     III.    “Rules without relationships leads to rebellion.”

IV.      Things we as officers unknowingly do to offend the general public.

IV.      Avoiding frivolous complaints

V.        Analyzing our interaction through traffic stops

VI.      Courtesy v. Rude

VII.     De-escalation of the following: Force, Conflict with juveniles and Juveniles

VIII.    Conflict resolution at HOME.

IX.       Effective Conflict Resolution as a leader in the community.

X.        The art of dealing with the imperfect human being.

XI.       Examining culturally ineffective officers vs. culturally effective officers.

XII.     LISTENING, a bridge to resolving conflict

XIII.    Techniques for monitoring perceptions.

XIV.    Gender interaction and intervention

This will be a comprehensive two-day, sixteen-hour training. I will provide a student work book for each member of the class attending the training. There will be in class scenarios; short video clips, pre and posttest will also be administered. After the training is completed, I will give the Training Director a copy of my instructor’s notes and all testing materials.  I will train a maximum of sixty students during this presentation.

 

The total cost of this training, all materials included is only $5000.00 dollars.  This price does not include travel expenses.  For out of area seminars, travel expenses will be negotiated.
